Republic Yuan Shih-kai 10 Cents Year 3 (1914) MS66 PCGS, Tientsin mint, KM-Y326, L&M-66, Kann-659, WS-0177-1. Exceedingly rare condition for this issue which essentially does not certify in meaningfully finer condition--PCGS records just 4 MS66+'s in their census--a considerable achievement, given that both grading services combined have seen nearly 5,200 representatives. Dressed in an apricot and blush tone, as one would expect, the surfaces do not display the least flaw of any meaningful consequence, instead appearing replete with fine flow lines that radiate outwards from the centers. Minor die strain is evinced by a small series of die cracks on the obverse extending from the rim to the top of Yuan Shih-kai's head, perhaps suggesting the strain under which the dies were placed to produce such a crisp example.
