China
Republic Yuan Shih-kai 50 Cents Year 3 (1914) MS64 PCGS, Tientsin mint, KM-Y328, L&M-64, Kann-655, WS-0175-1. An elusive minor from arguably the most instantly recognizable series in Chinese numismatics, one almost exclusively located in lesser tiers of certification and notably lacking in eye appeal, both characteristics certainly not lacking on the piece at hand. A borderline Gem Mint State specimen, which drops off considerably in higher designations, enveloped in saturated lapis lazuli and prominent autumnal hues across both faces that all coalesce to make a scarce opportunity to own an example this fine.
