Republic Yuan Shih-kai Dollar Year 3 (1914)-O MS65 PCGS, KM-Y329.4, L&M-63C, Kann-648, WS-0174-2. Yuan connected (Triangle Yuan) variety, with tiny circlet or O in left ribbon. Very near to peak certified quality for this infinitely popular and strongly coveted "O mintmark" subvariety, a feature of the reverse design that appears very boldly rendered, even without the aid of magnification. Presently among the finest representatives we have offered, with the last in this grade appearing in our December 2019 HKINF sale, this coin shows incredibly careful attention to detail throughout, subtle peripheral tone bleeding lightly into the surrounding fields and greatly accentuating the offering's aesthetic character.
