Republic Tuan Chi-jui Dollar ND (1924) MS64 PCGS, Tientsin mint, L&M-865, Kann-683, Chang-CH244, WS-0107, Wenchao-886 (rarity 2 stars), Shanghai Museum-691, Shi Jiagan Collection-Unl. Commemorating Tuan Chi-jui's taking office as the provisional Chief Executive of the Republic of China while abolishing the presidency, and the peaceful unification of China. A positively gorgeous presentation of this medallic commemorative Dollar, struck with generally Prooflike characteristics, most notable on the obverse, where semi-mirrorlike reflectivity is maintained from even an arm's length. Notably exceeded by an incredibly small number of specimens within the certified population, we would note that, aside from the occasional wisp in the fields, this offering could very nearly be seen in a technically finer grade. Not surprisingly considered a Pattern in some works on account of its painstaking attention to detail, together with the fact that these pieces were never intended for circulation, and a crowing trophy for even the most advanced Chinese numismatic cabinets.
