Constantinople, 7th officina, AD 607-609. d N FOCAS-PЄRP AVG, crowned, draped, and cuirassed bust of Phocas facing, globus cruciger in right hand / VICTORIA-AVϚЧ Z, Angel standing facing, long staff terminating in staurogram in right hand, globus cruciger in left; CONOB in exergue. Sear 620. Boldly struck with a touch of flatness caused by what appears to be clashed dies as evidenced from the incuse cross on the reverse in the left field. Highly lustrous surfaces.
