China
Republic Li Yuan-hung Dollar ND (1912) Inset in silver Dish XF (Obverse Tooled, Surface Hairlines), Wuchang mint, KM-Y321, L&M-45, Kann-639 var. 102mm. 70.69gm. Type without hat. Double die reverse variety with incredibly faint crossbar in A in CHINA. A much nicer example of a Chinese Dollar set into a silver dish that is often encountered--whereas many such coins show have rubbing on the obverse face, aside from the noted tooling, this specimen appears only very lightly circulated. What is more, the weak crossbar in the final A in CHINA on the reverse appears to be a subvariety undocumented by Kann.
