Apparently unique and unpublished; well centered specimen; fine portrait in high relief, good extremely fine - about fdc.
This interesting aureus show on reverse a clear homage to the first example of the imperial rule's collegiality. It's not clear the reasons of this innovative choice by Antoninus Pius, the joint succession may have been motivated by military exigencies, as happened in archaic times (Spartan diarchy).
