Binding rubbed; contents near fine. Bourne 1870-19. Very scarce. One of the few early American numismatic periodicals with a European flavor. German coins and medals are discussed in each issue, along with notes on upcoming American coin sales and a report on a meeting of the American Numismatic and Arch¾ological Society. In the first number, the editor notes: "This Journal shall be published a year--subscribers or no subscribers." Evidently, there were too few to warrant a second volume. Not in Attinelli. Ex M.
