Generally near fine. One of the most extensive collection of Hollinbeck/Kagin catalogues that we have ever offered. The series is lengthy and difficult to collect. Only one catalogue (Nos. 42-43) of the first 200 numbers rises to the level of an A-, which is part of the explanation for their scarcity, but it should be said that B sales (and most of the series is rated somewhere between B- and B+ by Adams) often include important and interesting coins. Most of the missing sale numbers in the above listing are described as "doubtful" by Adams, though it must be acknowledged that at least one of them (Sale 108) has been seen by us. Sales 190, 191, 230, 279 and 280, described as "not seen" by Adams, are here present. A rare opportunity. Ex Cardinal Collection Library.
