Good Group of Low Catalogues
Low, Lyman H. AUCTION CATALOGUES. New York and New Rochelle, 1883-1923. Forty-five different auction catalogues, being Adams Nos. 3A, 5, 7, 17, 31, 44, 45, 47, 51, 52, 53, 54, 55, 58, 59, 62, 63, 64, 65, 66, 74, 76, 79, 82, 83, 87, 90, 91, 94, 100, 101, 104, 106, 110, 116, 117, 128, 152, 190, 192, 198, 203, 204 and 211. Sales 44, 76 and 83 are hand-priced in ink. Sale 44 has two lithographic plates. Sale 58 is in a contemporary binding. Sale 63-66 were removed together from a previous binding and remain in one text block. Varying 8vo formats, generally in original printed paper covers (a few lacking covers). Condition varies, but generally very good. Low's catalogues remain an important source of numismatic information on diverse topics. Indeed, they have grown in popularity as increasing numbers of collectors turn from U.S. federal coinages to the lesser traveled paths of tokens, medals, foreign coins used in colonial America and other areas in which Low was truly an expert. Ex Cardinal Collection Library.

Estimate: 400 USD
