Woodward, W. Elliot. J.N.T. LEVICK SALE ANNOUNCEMENT LETTER. Roxbury, April 25, 1884. Single sheet, folded, printed on first two resulting pages. Housed within a gilt-printed gray leatherette folder within a plastic sleeve. Fine. The very scarce printed circular letter, addressed To Coin Collectors, announcing the acquisition and upcoming four day sale of Levick's extensive collection. Woodward noted that "In the line of Store Cards, this collection, perhaps, stands second to none... The series of 1837, or Hard Times Tokens, is unequaled..." The plastic sleeve within the document folder is, we feel, not of archival quality. Ex Charles Davis's sale of September 28, 1996, lot 190; ex Jim Neiswinter Library.
