Extremely Fine; slight pitting to obv., light cabinet tone.

It is ironic to note that this commemorative issue struck under Alexander II uses a fine portrait of Nicholas I on the obverse - the emperor who, whilst alive, refused to let his likeness appear on the coinage of the Russian Empire.
