Bronze cross, 70 x 70 mm, four oysters cruciform with four chestnuts in angles, ORDRE PETOTICO MARONICO HUITRIQUE MONS, rev. a potato in centre, IN MONTIBUS VIGET 1834 (Guioth, pl.4).
Established in 1832 in Mons by Henri-Florent Delmotte, the purpose of this fellowship was a gathering amongst gastronomes. It lasted four years until 1836. It was solely produced a small number crosses for the members of this fellowship.
Extremely rare, trace of solder to one oyster, the ribbon has been stapled to a small wooden panel covered with a red velvet cloth, very fine to extremely fine.
